File Storage is an embeddable file manager for web apps. You add one script and one stylesheet, call FileStorageSDK.mount(), and your users get folders, uploads, search, previews, and an image toolkit inside your product.

Anything that can load a script: plain HTML, React, Vue, Angular, Svelte, and server-rendered apps. Mount it in your lifecycle hook and call unmount() on teardown. Ready-made plugins for TinyMCE, CKEditor, Froala, Drupal, and Joomla are coming soon.

Yes. The playground is free to explore with sample files. A paid plan is only needed when you embed File Storage in a live product.

Never. With your own storage, the SDK talks to your proxy or HTTP API and credentials stay on your server. With Managed plans, storage lives on our infrastructure and you never handle cloud keys.

Bring your own storage: you keep Amazon S3 or any S3-compatible store and pay a flat per-website license (Starter $9/mo, Pro $14/mo). Managed: we host the storage on our AWS account; you pay a base fee from $29/mo plus metered storage, egress, and API operations above the included pool.

Each Managed plan includes a monthly pool of storage, egress, and API operations. Anything above the pool is billed at the published per-unit rates at the end of the billing cycle. You can see current usage in your dashboard at any time.

Yes. Cancel from your dashboard and your plan stays active until the end of the period you already paid for. After that, production API keys stop validating and premium features are turned off.

First-time purchases of a monthly or yearly license can be refunded within 14 days. Metered Managed usage and Enterprise contracts are not refundable. See the Refund policy for details.

Prices are shown before tax. VAT, GST, or sales tax may apply based on your country, and the exact amount is shown at checkout before you pay.

Yes. Yearly billing gives you roughly two months free compared with paying monthly.

Every production mount validates a paid API key with our license service. This is what separates the free playground from live use. Keys are created in your dashboard once a paid plan is active.

The embedded manager shows a license notice instead of the file UI the next time it validates (on load and periodically after). Your files are not touched; renewing or issuing a new key restores access.

One production website (domain) and up to 5 team seats. Extra seats are $2.50/mo each, sold in packs of 5. Additional websites need additional licenses or an Enterprise plan.

SaaS and multi-tenant setups need an Enterprise or Managed Enterprise plan. Contact sales for a quote.

No. Redistribution, resale, or bundling the SDK into a product for third parties is not allowed without a written agreement.

Amazon S3 and any S3-compatible service, such as Cloudflare R2, DigitalOcean Spaces, Yandex Object Storage, or MinIO. You can also plug in any storage by implementing the documented HTTP contract. Native Azure Blob and Google Cloud Storage connectors are coming soon.

With BYO storage you run our reference Node.js proxy or implement the documented HTTP contract. With a Managed plan no backend is required.

Yes. Colors, logos, light/dark mode, and layout are configurable on every plan. Pro and above add full white label so the File Storage name is removed.

Yes, on Enterprise plans, alongside file metadata, a security log, and custom API methods.
